RaceLab™ Performance Skinsuit
Fully Custom. Performance Engineered. Included as Standard.
The RaceLab™ Skinsuit is the result of RaceLab’s applied research into aerodynamics, biomechanics, and rider-specific performance optimisation. Designed for track, time trial, and high-speed road racing, this skinsuit is built with one objective: deliver measurable performance gains without compromise.
Unlike off-the-shelf race apparel, every RaceLab™ Skinsuit is fully customisable as part of the purchase price. Fit, panel layout, compression mapping, sleeve length, collar design, leg length, graphics, and fabric selection are all tailored to the rider. No upcharges. No “semi-custom” limitations. True bespoke performance is included as standard.
Aerodynamic Development
Each skinsuit is engineered using RaceLab™ aero principles developed through rider testing, airflow analysis, and race-specific use cases. Panel placement and seam orientation are designed to manage airflow across critical zones such as shoulders, arms, torso, and thighs — where drag reduction delivers the greatest time savings.
Textile selection is matched to body zone function:
Structured aero fabrics for turbulent airflow regions
High-compression textiles for muscular stability and power transfer
Low-friction materials where airflow separation is most sensitive
The result is a skinsuit that works with the rider’s position, not against it
RaceLab™ Pad Technology
3D-Printed Intelligence. Engineered Load Control. Race-Grade by Design.
The RaceLab™ Skinsuit features our most advanced contact-point innovation to date: a proprietary 3D-printed TPU pad system, developed to replace the fundamental limitations of traditional foam and sponge-based chamois.
This is not padding for softness.
This is engineered load management for elite performance.
Beyond Foam: 3D-Printed TPU Core Architecture
At the heart of the RaceLab™ pad is a 3D-printed thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) core, constructed with a precisely tuned hollow lattice structure. This architecture allows RaceLab™ engineers to control support, airflow, resilience, and durability at a micro-structural level — something impossible with cut or molded foam.
The hollow TPU structure enables:
Active airflow through the pad, improving ventilation and thermal regulation
Ultra-rapid moisture evacuation, drying up to 500× faster than conventional sponge materials
Consistent mechanical behaviour under load, eliminating compression collapse over time
Load Distribution, Not Cushioning
Traditional pads rely on thickness to create comfort. RaceLab™ takes a fundamentally different approach.
The TPU lattice functions as a dynamic load-distribution system, stabilising the rider’s pelvis and controlling pressure across critical contact zones. This reduces peak pressure, improves saddle stability, and enhances control during sustained high-power efforts — particularly in aggressive track and time-trial positions.
Key mechanical advantages:
Fatigue resistance up to 1.5 million compression cycles — approximately 1000× greater than foam
Tear resistance of ~80 kN/m, delivering exceptional structural integrity under repeated race loads
Shape retention and performance consistency across seasons of use, not just a single campaign
Thermoregulation, Hygiene & Weight
The RaceLab™ pad uses a hydrophobic TPU material with a water contact angle of approximately 90°. This dramatically reduces moisture absorption compared to sponge pads, resulting in:
Over 10× higher antibacterial performance
Reduced odor retention
Faster recovery between sessions, travel days, and race blocks
Despite its durability and strength, the pad remains exceptionally efficient, at approximately 3 g per cubic centimetre, delivering support equivalent to high-density foam without unnecessary bulk or mass.
Sustainable by Design
The TPU core is produced through a zero-waste manufacturing process, generating no pollution and requiring no environmental assessment. The material can also be produced using recycled TPU, aligning elite performance with responsible engineering practice.
