Diary of a CEO #11: We’re Back

First, an apology.

Over the last few weeks, things have been unusually quiet on our channels. If you’ve been following our journey, you’ve probably noticed the lack of updates, and for that, I want to say sorry.

The reality is that behind the scenes, we’ve been busier than ever.

One of the challenges of building companies in the performance sports industry is that there are periods where you’re creating, testing, travelling, negotiating, solving problems, and building relationships faster than you can tell the story. Recently, we’ve found ourselves in exactly that position.

Between Race Lab, Supermond Bikes, athlete support, product development, dealer meetings, wind tunnel planning, international travel, and preparing several major projects for launch, we’ve been spending more time building than broadcasting.

But that’s changing.

From this point forward, we’re committed to returning to regular updates and taking you deeper behind the curtain than ever before.

The truth is that what you see publicly is often only 5% of what’s actually happening.

The emails.

The meetings.

The athlete conversations.

The prototype failures.

The victories nobody sees.

The late-night problem-solving sessions.

The negotiations with brands.

The engineering discussions.

The product development decisions that could change the future of performance cycling.

That’s the story we want to share.

Introducing Our Patreon

One of the most common questions we receive is:

“What exactly do you do all day?”

The short answer is: a little bit of everything.

The long answer is what inspired us to launch our Patreon.

For the price of a coffee each month, you’ll gain access to a much deeper look into the world of Race Lab, Raymund Afoakwa Consulting, and Supermond Bikes.

We’ll be sharing:

  • Behind-the-scenes business updates

  • Product development journeys

  • Athlete sponsorship decisions

  • Aero testing projects

  • Wind tunnel insights

  • Performance technology reviews

  • Lessons learned building a cycling business

  • Industry discussions that never make it to social media

  • Race Lab development projects

  • Supermond Bikes engineering updates

  • The successes, failures, and realities of entrepreneurship in cycling

This isn’t about polished marketing.

It’s about showing the real journey.

The good days.

The difficult days.

The wins.

The setbacks.

And everything in between.

If you’ve ever wanted to understand what it takes to build products, support athletes, work with teams, and develop technology at the highest levels of cycling, Patreon is where we’ll be sharing those stories in detail.

What’s Next?

The coming months are shaping up to be some of the most exciting we’ve ever had.

We have athlete projects underway.

New product launches.

Dealer partnerships.

International collaborations.

Race Lab developments.

And some Supermond projects that we’ve been working on quietly for a very long time.

As always, we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who follows the journey, supports our work, shares our content, buys our products, or simply sends a message of encouragement.

Building something meaningful is never a solo effort.

Thank you for being part of the journey.

Episode 12 won’t take as long.

See you soon.
